The discussion about the great importance and high effectiveness of innovation for the survival of companies (Maaß/May-Strobl, 2016, p. 1), especially in the SME sector (Kaschny, et.al., 2015, p. 15) and even for societies as a whole has been intensively discussed both currently and for several decades (OECD, 2018, p.3). Building on the first paper on the innovation status formula (Hube, 2022), in which the "aggregate states" "was" and "is" of an innovation were discussed, the aggragate state of "will be" will now be analysed as the future potential of innovation ideas or projects.

Die Diskussion über die große Bedeutung und hohe Wirksamkeit von Innovation für das Überleben von Unternehmen (Maaß/May-Strobl 2016, 1), insbesondere im mittelständischen Bereich (Kaschny et al. 2015, 15) und sogar für Gesellschaften als Ganzes wird sowohl aktuell als auch seit einigen Jahrzehnten intensiv diskutiert (OECD 2018, 3). Aufbauend auf der ersten Arbeit zur Innovationsstatusformel (Hube 2022, 208–227), in der die „Aggregatzustände“ „War“ und „Ist“ einer Innovation behandelt wurden, soll nun daran anknüpfend der Aggregatzustand des „Werden“ als zukünftiges Potenzial von Innovationsideen beziehungsweise -projekten analysiert werden.

The discussion about the great importance and high effectiveness of innovation for the survival of companies (cf. Maaß/ May-Strobl, 2016, p. 1), especially in the SME sector (cf. Kaschny, et.al., 2015, p. 15) and even for societies as a whole (cf. OECD, 2018, p.3) has been intensively debated both currently and for several decades. Despite this, or perhaps precisely because of this, there is still no generally valid concept of innovation in the literature (cf. Völker/Friesenhahn, 2018, p. 17; Vahs, 2013, p. 20), or at least none that has become established through a clear and simple approach and could provide orientation for practitioners in particular as to what is to be understood by innovation and what is not.

Die Diskussion über die große Bedeutung und hohe Wirksamkeit von Innovation für das Überleben von Unternehmen (Maaß/May-Strobl 2016, 1), insbesondere im mittelständischen Bereich (Kaschny et al. 2015, 15) und sogar für Gesellschaften als Ganzes (OECD 2018, 3) wird sowohl aktuell als auch seit einigen Jahrzehnten intensiv diskutiert. Trotzdem oder vielleicht gerade deswegen gibt es in der Literatur bis heute keinen allgemeingültigen Innovationsbegriff (Völker/Friesenhahn 2018, 17; Vahs 2013, 20) oder zumindest keinen, der sich durch eine klare und einfache Vorgehensweise durchgesetzt hat und gerade der Praxis eine Orientierung geben könnte, was unter Innovation zu verstehen ist und was nicht.
